Competencies and Compliances
Chemical Certifications
At SydCOM, we are trained in the preparation, application, transport and storage of chemicals applicable to our trade. Did you know, under the NSW Pesticides Act 1999, any person who uses or applies any herbicide, pesticide, insecticide or fungicide is required by law to have proper training and licensing? The use of chemicals in any industry is not something that should be taken lightly and ensuring we are correctly trained and qualified to use hazardous chemicals is extremely important for the safety of both our employees and clients. At SydCOM, not only do all our staff hold individual AQF3 Chemcert certifications, we are also licenced as Ground Applicators with the NSW EPA.
NSW Department of Education preferred contractor.
SydCOM are an approved and preferred service provider for
NSW DOE. We have long worked with NSW schools, both public and private,
to achieve beautiful grounds that provide fun and safe play spaces for students.
Studies have shown happy students are more productive and we believe a good
recreation area will contribute towards happier students.Typically, our services to NSW DOE clients are undertaken on
weekends to avoid any disruption to students, staff or caregivers. This
provides two major benefits, no sound or environmental pollution and the
elimination of any risk to staff or students compared to if the services were
to be carried out during school hours.
NSW Working with Children Check
All of our team at SydCOM have their current WWCC
certifications. It is important that we provide reassurance to caregivers
and associated staff that all children are safe in the presence of SydCOM employees.

employee of SydCOM has any criminal history whatsoever. Our director is ever
vigilant to ensure our staff are safe, trustworthy and no risk to our fellow
team members, our clients or the public. The safety of our fellow team members, our clients and the
public is of upmost importance to us.
First Aid Certifications
Although we always perform to a high safety standard,
sometimes accidents or emergencies happen. Whether it be within our team or to
any person on your site, with all staff being first aid qualified, it provides us with the proper
training to handle any situation that may present itself.
